About Us

LAR Pensions, LLC is a fee-for-service Third Party Administration (TPA) firm specializing in 401(k) plans with either Profit Sharing class-allocated contributions or combined with a Defined Benefit Plan (DB offset). We design, implement, and administer a wide variety of Qualified Plans at a very reasonable fee. We do NOT sell insurance or any other investment products, nor do we provide any investment advice or custodial services for retirement plan money.

Mission

The role of LAR Pensions, LLC is to guide its clients in sponsoring a qualified retirement plan. This includes initial establishment, ongoing administration, and periodic review to assure the plan continues meet the client’s objectives and remains in compliance with the IRS.

Our professional staff is dedicated to providing a dependable quality service and is always available to help with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the administration of your Plan. Consulting for actuarial or Plan design/modification is also available and free of charge for the first few hours each year – which is usually enough for everyone.

Services

LAR Pensions, LLC is not affiliated with any specific financial or accounting institution and can work with any provider of such services as long as they are able to work with an outside TPA. We are enrolled with over a dozen 401(k) vendors and work with Plans that invest through brokerage firms as well.

Our company offers complete Plan design and both actuarial and administrative services with respect to all types of qualified retirement plans.

Plan Design

We work with financial advisors, accountants, and clients to understand their business, tax planning considerations, and retirement plan objectives in order to offer the best plan for the client’s needs. We design and prepare documents for 401(k), Profit Sharing, Defined Benefit, Cash Balance, and combinations (DB Offsets) with an eye towards maximizing contributions for our clients while minimizing their costs within the budget they want to consider for their retirement plan .

Plan Administration

Our service package is complete and relieves the client of all the work necessary for the administration of their Plan. This package includes but is not limited to annual trust accounting, Plan valuation, preparation of required IRS 5500 forms and attachments, distribution/loan processing, and document amendments/restatements.  Your Company’s role is to provide basic employee census information and financial statements, sign/execute any required documents/actions that we prepare, and to communicate any material legal changes concerning your business(sale/M&A/etc.) or any changes regarding your retirement objectives. Finally, at the end of each year you will receive individual account statements to provide for each of your participating employees. Our fees for these services are very reasonable and our consulting time is usually free.
